What is Rebel Pursuit
In all honesty, Rebel Pursuit started as a picture. More specifically, a logo. We decided we wanted to wear “cool” shirts while out hunting and fishing so we designed a logo that combined big game hunting, bird hunting and fishing.

As most side projects, we ended up forgetting about the design almost immediately after it was created – except for when we got our yellow lab puppy who was conveniently named Rebel. Fast forward almost TWO YEARS (yikes) and we’ve brought it back to life.
The name Rebel Pursuit is a term we came up with to embrace traditional hunting and fishing while relinquishing conventions surrounding the sport (but always following the law, of course). Traditionally, if you weren’t raised in an outdoor family, or seeing an outdoor partner, your exposure and/or learning potential is close to none. So where do you go to learn? We wanted to be that resource. To promote, educate and learn ourselves from the every-day hunter.
What Are We Doing Here
Everyone has a different hunting or fishing story. Whether it’s the one about the BIGGEST buck ever seen (but got away, of course) or about the worst case of sea-sickness while ocean fishing… we’ve all got them. Some stories began at a young age, some just last week. But the one thing we all have in common – the stories and that’s why we’re here.
We believe that enjoying the outdoors through hunting and fishing should be enjoyed by all, not just those with hefty endorsement or deep pockets. Outdoor media, while a great resource, focuses heavily on those with the aforementioned qualifications. But how do you get a private hunt without thousands of dollars? For most of us, it’s by winning the lottery or pulling some strings with that one guy from work who owes us a favor for fixing his tractor. Don’t get us wrong, if you have the means and opportunity for a private hunt or guided trip, by all means, take it! Consider us automatically jealous we didn’t get to join. Our question is who is promoting the everyday hunter? Who is promoting the one putting in the hours scouting public land, waking up hours earlier just to get a parking spot and doing what they can to partake in one of the greatest sports?
“The best par of hunting and fishing is the pursuit – putting all the pieces together to perfectly align with Mother Nature and the will of a wild animal. We believe that is the best part.”
Most outdoor media has convinced us that hunting isn’t worthwhile unless you get the massive whitetail, or the three-man limit in the blind. While these things ARE awesome and DO happen to the average Joe, they shouldn’t be the expectation or the only thing celebrated. The best part of hunting and fishing IS the pursuit – putting all the pieces together to perfectly align with Mother Nature and the will of a wild animal. We believe that is the best part, combining camaraderie and skill to make lasting memories, only to be relived as the greatest stories.
About Us
Our names are Logan and Margie. We currently reside in Eugene, Oregon (Go Ducks!) with our two cats and yellow lab named Rebel (he’s cute, go follow him on insta @rebeltheyellow). We both grew up in Eugene exploring and enjoying the bounty of the Pacific Northwest, constantly longing to learn more about becoming successful in hunting and fishing.
After researching potential resources for the everyday outdoorsman (or woman), we realized the tools were few and far between – so we decided to create one. We have absolutely no idea what we are doing (one of us is a Deputy Sheriff and one is a Sales Manager for a local hotel) nor do we claim to be experts in ANY field, but we do know that we love to hunt and fish and we would love to share our passion with you through engaging content and education. So follow along… and let’s embrace the pursuit.
